Interaction between Melbourne Perth and New Plymouth

I’m just forwarding you some of the feedback that’s bouncing around between the various Australian churches here.
Sounds like the cross promotion between the different churches idea has really caught on. It’s such an obvious idea really isn’t it?

I remember ringing a woman from a church to suggest we actually promote each others’ lectures and I could really feel a holding back from her. Almost as if she was thinking…”why should I help you? You might take some of our potential visitors…”

When I suggested she email me PDF’s of her posters and invites and that I would organize our members to email them out to their own personal email lists she was taken aback.

I then had to remind her that we weren’t in competition with each other…and that is why this was a great idea. We’re actually all on the same team…just operating from different localities. It was hilarious - probably the wrong word but it was great to hear her thought change base in the moment….; I could tangibly feel her whole demeanour change as she realized I had rung to help her. She went from being possessive of her lecture to incredulous that another church would ring to give a hand.

Elise, your visit is still having an effect and people are still talking with each other. As is evidenced by the emails below.

Even at Ringwood Church I have seen and sensed a definite lightening of attitude from those members who were becoming very self opinionated and wilful. I guess you’d say the Christ thought is knocking at their consciousness and they’re answering the door! J

To say Team Moore kicked a goal is an understatement, rather the other team (error) didn’t even make it onto the field !!!

All the best…

Simon

Hi Sally,

Pleased the lecture went well. That was a great turnout. Sounds like the boards did the trick. Good to have the bigger ones if you had 90.

Our little church of about six or so members, managed about 40 at ours. We had the workshop in our home.
If you are on Twitter, you can type in elisemoore without a space and read about some of her experiences in the mexican prisons.

Have you seen Elise's pod casts

Thanks again Sally for the contact on Phil Arnold, Pam was very pleased with the instant result.

All the best with the ongoing buzzing from the lecture

Warmest wishes
Scott

Hello Simon and Scott,

Elise’s lecture has been with a very good attendance between 89 & 95, an estimate of 20 visitors, and several adherents who only come spasmodically. The Lecture Prep with theme ‘Youth and Youthful Thinkers’ was also well attended. We chose ‘God is speaking to You’
Two white boards, which answered the need perfectly, were hired. Thank you for your help in this regard. I am finding the relative articles are a great refresher.

It was great to make email contact with both of you. Next time, Simon, we’ll look at the cross promotion. There will possibly be a need to have the state included on the flyers.

With many thanks for your help and support,
With love,
Sally.
